Thanks Trudy, I really *should* be doing a lot more with this blog but I’ve had my hands full with a couple of startups. This week’s privacy updates to Facebook should help better inform people of how security settings work but it’s still that we know how to create & maintain lists.

It’s a shame FB has never instituted the ability to make a post viewable only to members of specific applications.

This is the best technique to be followed, I must say that really being here and not using this will really be silly. Will you please reply with more information here? I think you have a good response and it will definitely help a lot. As this forum has really been a good platform for us all, contributing to this will really be healthy for our and your business as well. We all are waiting for a good informative response. @Gina – Thank you for your compliments! I’m being a bit snarky here. I know I just ran into an automated bannhammer for posting the link too many times but it *is* a hot topic lately.

@Kristin – I agree, this is needlessly complex. Imagine how long it took me to come up with You will note my final comment is that this is ripe ground for a 3rd party application developer. If a company were to come up with an easy way to auto-generate lists by application and sync them with the click of a button I’d be on that app daily.

Shouldn’t Facebook and Zynga be developing something similar to this that I don’t have to tediously create groups everytime I post something?

This seems really really complex. The average person on Facebook doesn’t not even know how to use the ‘Hide’ button. Much less take the time to do this.

There’s a problem here man. I don’t know all my friends who play Farmville or Mafia Wars. And it’s constantly changing.
